It was Agatha ALL Along…
We were right, “it was Agatha all along…”
That song is still going through my head, and what a fun ending to an episode. Throughout the series Kathryn Hahn has put an amazing Charm into her character Agatha or Agness… I must say both of the names are so brilliantly used I have used them interchangeably on accident on multiple occasions.
For a villain in this series, it is hard to not like her character because of all the charisma that emits from her from everything to the big smile, to the puns of jokes, to the whole saucy attitude she portrays. You can tell Kathryn Hahn was having fun portraying Agatha or is it Agness…
And the chemistry she brings to this supporting role never disappoints on this sitcom inside of a sitcom, from the moment she introduced herself and Charmed her way into the Maximoffs house, to the naughty rhinestones on her tush in the Malcolm in the Middle episode, to everything dealing with the rise and fall of sparky (which I think we will see resurrected again) and now we got this fun song ending the last episode “it was Agatha all along…”
Her role changed dramatically playing the victim to introducing herself as the antagonists who took the Utopia that Wanda created turned it upside down and made everything else go wrong.
So many questions were answered in this episode, with a few new questions emerging. It feels like Disney/Marvel set things up to hint us along the way, not concealing too much, so we could have fun playing Detectives like Jimmy Woo, guessing who is who and what is going on. The hints were subtle no doubt, but even seeing how fake Agatha or Agness was in the Halloween episode is evidence of how we were meant to be part of the adventure of discovery with the characters in the show inside a show.
And after this episode the Theory of Pietro being the beekeeper is still on the table (see my previous post about that).
So now the question is who else is working with Agatha, and why does she even care to be interfering with Wanda’s life?
There are a lot of theories floating around, such as maybe the Bunny is in on it, or the mailman, or Dottie, or even Pietro. I think that we will find out that the director of SWORD is the one that got Agatha involved because he wants to get Vision back. At least that is where I am leaning, because there is something up with him. There are probably many people involved and it will be interesting to see if everyone else that people are speculating is involved plays a role. Whether Dottie is a witch too, or the Mailman is another character. However, I don’t think Pietro is involved and think that he was only used as a puppet.
